Terms Entered in Search
A name, place, or other term entered into a search tool is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Clay County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider processes the request under its privacy terms, which may differ from this notice.
Messages Sent to Us
If you email us or use a contact form, we retain the message and the contact details you provide so we can respond. We do not share that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law, a valid court order, or another binding legal process.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Routine server, security, and analytics systems may receive technical details each time a page loads. This information helps the site operate and provides a broad view of traffic. It can include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- The browser name and version
- The device category and operating system
- The pages opened and time spent on them

Mississippi government records may also be governed by the Mississippi Public Records Act, §§ 25-61-1 through 25-61-17, but that law does not replace the destination’s website privacy notice.
Some advertising partners use their own technology to measure activity across multiple websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs through the partner’s systems, not through records kept by Clay County Released Inmates. Review the partner’s controls if you want to limit that activity.

Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
Clay County Released Inmates is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Get in Touch page to request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the type of information involved, you may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete personal information we control
- Stop or limit certain forms of processing
These choices apply to information controlled by Clay County Released Inmates. Requests concerning a sheriff, court, MDOC, search partner, analytics service, or advertising network must be directed to that organization.
